Merchandising Buyer
 
- Job Type: Full-time
 
- Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.
 
- highly proficient in spoken and written English
 
- Must have excellent written and verbal skills
 
-  3-5 years of sourcing overseas experience in importing preferred
 
- Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university
 
- work with Category Managers to help develop and introduce new products
 
- Source and investigate new products and suppliers
 
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
 
- develop products and cost saving initiatives by sourcing, competitive quotations and communicating
  ABI USA requirements with the supplier
 
- Solicit quotes, conduct bid evaluations, and ensure best combination of price, service, and quality of product
 
- Maintain open communication with our suppliers on lead-times
  Study market trends
 
- Responsible for ensuring that active purchase orders are complete and accurate at all times reflecting
  the latest requirements and terms and conditions in compliance with company-supplier agreements
 
- work effectively and professionally with inter-departmental personnel
 
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook)
 
- Must be able to travel to supplier locations and trade shows (domestic and international)
